NITROX is any combination of nitrogen and oxygen. Diving with enriched air Nitrox provides two main benefits: increased bottom time using Nitrox tables, and decreased risk of DCS when using recreational air diving tables.
SSI's teaching system simplifies learning to use Nitrox. Through the use of SSI's special tables, complex calculations and difficult formulas are eliminated. SSI's Enriched Air Nitrox course is ideal for the recreational diver who wants to Nitrox dive within the non-decompression limits. With this course you'll learn:
Course schedule: One weeknight from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course represents entry-level training designed to educate divers and interested non-divers (such as a charter boat captain) to recognize scuba diving injuries and to provide emergency oxygen first aid.
This course will also introduce novice divers to the fundamentals of dive accident recognition, response and management. This program provides an excellent training opportunity for divers and continuing education for leadership-level divers and instructors.
Since Oxygen Provider skills deteriorate with time, DAN encourages retraining every two years as a minimum following successful completion of the course. DAN Oxygen Providers are trained to provide emergency oxygen as adjunctive first aid to injured divers while awaiting arrival of emergency medical services or evacuation to the nearest available medical facility.
This course provides a guide for oxygen first aid training in the special situations of decompression illness and near-drowning. It will not address oxygen use in other situations.
In addition, divers are encouraged to practice these and other diving skills regularly. All skills performed in an emergency should be within the scope of one's training and experience.

The variety and complexity of diving equipment, diving skills, and diving locations available to the recreational diver has increased dramatically. It is difficult for today’s diver to maintain proficiency in the use of these skills and equipment when they are not used on a regular basis. If an individual does not dive enough to maintain proficiency and comfort with their scuba skills, it is highly recommended by Scuba Ventures that the responsible diver attend a Scuba Skills Update.
Your Scuba Skills Update schedule can be done in 4-5 hour session (class and pool). [You determine the schedule!]

Often, sport divers are asked to search and recover items lost in the water. It might be a ring, watch, or even a large
object like a boat motor. Whatever the object, divers need to assess the situation and determine their ability to
retrieve the object. This course will accelerate the learning process and make you a safer, more productive recovery diver.
